Seeking More Local Government Support? How Economic Impact Studies Can Make All the Difference

One of the most compelling data points in the Save Our Stages Campaign was that “for every dollar spent on a ticket at a live event, $12 in economic activity is generated.” With ARPA dollars available, several cities are considering undertaking economic studies to measure the impact of the live music economy at the local level. How can you advocate for funding to conduct these studies? Who can help you conduct the study? Who is the audience for the study, and what do you hope to achieve from an advocacy perspective by doing the study? Are there standards across studies that can make the results more impactful?
